“The Arm That Almost Took His Life — And the Miracle That Saved Him” The story of Paul from Bungoma.
Today, we share a powerful testimony — the journey of Paul from Bungoma County. His story is raw, moving, and unforgettable… but most importantly, it is filled with hope.
BEFORE: A Life Slowly Fading Away
When we first met Paul, he was seated quietly on a wooden stool, battling a severe swelling on his arm. The mass had grown dangerously large, leaving him in unbearable pain and unable to work as a boda boda rider, the job that once sustained him and his family.
This was not just a medical challenge — it was a battle for survival.
Every day, Paul woke up wondering whether he would live to see another sunrise. His arm had become a constant reminder of a future he feared might never come.
He was losing weight.
He was losing strength.
He was losing hope.
Yet behind the pain was a man who refused to give up. And that resilience opened the door for a miracle.
AFTER: Surgery, Healing, and a New Beginning
Through the intervention of Wema Charity Foundation, Paul was taken to hospital, examined, and immediately prioritized for surgery. Doctors confirmed what we feared — the swelling was life-threatening. Amputation was the only option to save his life.
And so, with prayers, support, and the hand of God guiding every step, the surgery was done.
Today, Paul is no longer defined by the pain of yesterday.
Today, he is alive.
He is healing.
He is stronger than ever.
The fear that once clouded his eyes has been replaced with a calm, quiet confidence — the confidence of a survivor.
A New Path: Turning Loss Into Livelihood
Losing a hand meant losing the job he depended on. But it did not mean losing his future.
Wema Charity Foundation is now walking with Paul into the next chapter of his life. Once he completes his healing journey, the foundation will open a small business for him, ensuring he regains his independence, dignity, and source of income.
Because compassion does not end at treatment.
Compassion becomes complete when a life is restored both physically and economically.
A Message of Hope
Paul’s story is proof that God sends help through people. That even in the darkest valley, light still breaks through. And that one act of kindness can rescue someone from the edge of despair.
To everyone who supports the mission of Wema Charity Foundation — thank you.
Because of you, Paul is alive today.
Because of you, hope is alive in Bungoma.

Together, We Will Keep Transforming Lives
Paul’s story is not the end.
It is a beginning — a reminder that every life matters, and every act of love echoes far beyond what the eye can see.
Let us keep going.
Let us keep giving.
Let us keep being the hands and feet of Christ on earth.
